Claiming back VAT on home batteries
When you purchase a home battery, you can claim back the VAT you have paid from the tax authorities. This gives you a nice financial advantage. Because this process can be quite complicated, Offgrid takes care of it for you. For VAT refunds, we work together with our partner De Centrale, a specialist in VAT refunds and subsidies.
Here's how it works in 3 steps:
1. Take the VAT test (before purchasing)
Before purchasing your home battery, you can take De Centrale’s VAT test. This will help us determine the easiest way for you to claim back your VAT.
2. Installing your home battery
We ensure that your home battery is professionally installed.
3. The Central Office will reclaim the VAT for you.
Once the battery has been installed and the invoice is available, De Centrale will arrange for the VAT refund with the tax authorities. You do not need to arrange anything yourself and will receive the benefit immediately.
