We were delighted to recently welcome Peter Yang, founder and owner of Marstek Energy, along with Daisy Jiang of Marstek Energy, to Off Grid Power Station in Vught.
The visit focused on our partnership and the rapidly changing European energy storage market. Demand for home batteries is growing rapidly, and at the same time, consumers are becoming increasingly discerning when it comes to capacity, power output, ease of use, smart software, and the ability to make the most of the solar energy they generate themselves.
The Future of Plug-in Home Batteries
During the visit, we discussed at length the developments we are seeing in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the rest of Europe. Among other things, the growing popularity of plug-in home batteries was a key topic of discussion.
These systems are making energy storage accessible to an ever-growing number of households. At the same time, the possibilities are expanding. While plug-in home batteries were originally used primarily to store excess solar energy, we’re seeing new generations with increasingly higher charge and discharge capacities, larger battery capacities, and smarter energy management features.
Topics such as dynamic energy prices, self-consumption, limiting the amount of energy fed back into the grid, and integration with smart meters and energy management systems were also discussed in detail.
Experiences from the Dutch and Belgian Markets
For Off Grid Power Station, direct contact with manufacturers is important. Through our daily interactions with customers, we receive a lot of feedback about how home batteries are actually used—not only about what works well, but also about features customers feel are missing and areas where products and software can be further improved.
During our conversation with Peter Yang and Daisy Jiang, we were therefore able to share various experiences and needs from the Dutch and Belgian markets.
Marstek itself emphasizes that feedback from European partners and end users plays an important role in the further development of new generations of home batteries and energy management solutions.
Marstek Continues to Invest in Energy Storage
Marstek was founded in 2020 and focuses on developing energy storage solutions. Its product line now includes various solutions for home storage and other applications. In recent years, the company has placed a strong emphasis on plug-in energy storage and the further development of user-friendly home batteries.
Developments are happening at a rapid pace. Higher power ratings, greater storage capacities, expanded connectivity, and smarter software are ensuring that home batteries are increasingly becoming an integral part of a home’s overall energy management system.
During the visit, we therefore not only discussed the current market, but also—and above all—looked ahead to Marstek’s next generation of products and innovations.
Further Strengthening Collaboration
Peter Yang and Daisy Jiang’s visit to Off Grid Power Station was a great opportunity for us to further strengthen our partnership and exchange ideas directly about the future of energy storage in Europe.
We would like to thank Peter and Daisy for their visit to Vught, the open and valuable discussions, and their trust in Off Grid Power Station as a partner.
We look forward to the next steps in our collaboration and to the new developments that Marstek will be introducing to the European market in the coming period.
