During the day, solar panels often generate more energy than you use directly. Some of this is delivered back to the grid, while in the evening you draw power again. With the SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC home battery, you store this surplus and use it later in your home. This way you increase your own consumption of your solar energy and get more return from your solar panels.
This bundle combines the SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC with one BP2500 battery module, good for a total storage capacity of 5.04 kWh. This makes the system a practical home battery solution for households looking to add energy storage to their existing solar panels. The SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC is specifically designed for homes with an existing PV system. Thanks to AC-coupled operation, the system connects to the AC side of the home and works in conjunction with your current inverter or microinverters.
Solar panels therefore do not need to be reconnected and no additional PV cabling is required. Combined with a compatible energy meter, excess solar energy is automatically stored and used later when home consumption increases.
The SolarVault 3 Pro Max AC features 2500W of bi-directional AC power per unit.* This means the system can not only charge, but also continuously discharge up to 2500W to your home.
In practice, this is enough to support multiple household appliances simultaneously. Think lights, refrigerator, freezer and Internet, while simultaneously running a washing machine or dishwasher. Thus, the home battery can take over a significant portion of daily power consumption. Combined with a smart energy meter, the system gets real-time insight into consumption and feed-in. The SolarVault supports several operating modes, including self-use and dynamic energy tariffs.
With dynamic energy contracts, the system can automatically charge when power is cheap and discharge when rates rise. Control and monitoring are via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Ethernet in the app. Multiple parallel-connected units are also centrally controlled herein, so that the entire system functions as one.
